Femme Fatale Sweetheart

Lily Allen

I haven't had a FFS in a while because I haven't had a dame who's caught my interest - and then I remembered Miss. L. How could I forget the spunky, controversial songstress that was also the Chanel muse and covergirl a few years back? She's no English rose, and that is what I find absolutely fun and fascinating about her! In an alter ego, my pseudo persona would contain her cheekiness and brazen wit, coupled with her fashion bravado. Cheers to this songbird currently writing tunes for the upcoming Bridget Jones's Diary musical.

Next Summer is Already Here!

John Galliano ~ you will be missed, sniffle. The show must go on at Christian Dior, and oddly enough this Resort 2012 was one of my favorites. It's feminine, fresh and completely wearable. Clothes that scream comfortability yet maintain their chicness at the same time reign supreme in my dreams. With the over the top images we have grown astonishingly desensitized to, the photography and it's innocent throwback to 50's magazines is sweet and innocuous in a modern way. All photos by CD.

ACL Got the Love...

She tiptoed & floated about the floor like a tiny, graceful pixie...with the voice of strength that vacuumed the breath out of the room. As I stared in awe, I couldn't take my eyes off her amazing silk ensemble that was adorned with delicate flower appliques; only to find out that the face behind the fashion was none other than Frida Giannini of Gucci.

The designer created Florence's entire tour wardrobe & admits that the singer inspired her autumn/winter 2011 collection - which suits her just fine.

I can't wait to watch the Austin City Limits performance on KLRU!

Fit for a McQueen ~ Resort 2012

Vogue.com (by Sarah Mower) "When she took over at McQueen last year, Sarah Burton quietly promised that she’d try to bring a new sense of softness and female-minded wearability to the collection...The current collection—built around the centrifugal idea of romantic utility—contains everything from signature McQueen high-necked white blouses to ball-worthy fantasias made out of fairy-fingered embroidery on tulle. Part of her genius is the way she’s staying completely faithful to the McQueen templates. She shows every sign of handling the pressure with the serenity that allowed her to get through the royal wedding with such aplomb and privacy and, even better, the sparkle in her eye says she’s enjoying every minute of it".
